Module 1 : 2D Drafting (24 Hrs)

Introduction to CAD GUI
(Graphical User Interface)
Setting units and choosing dimension styles.
Switching between workbench – from 2D drafting & annotation to 3D Modeling

Using Function Keys
Introduction on - Co ordinate systems
Absolute co co ordinate systems, relative Co ordinate Systems.
Object selection Methods – Window selection and cross window selection.
Creating Blocks , W Blocks and saving the block as template.
Block with attributes, OLE (Object linking and embedding), .Import and Export., X ref
Plotting and Publishing a drawing- Default plot settings for new drawings, Plot stamp/Plot style table settings, Plot to file,

Module 3 : 3D Modeling (18 Hrs )

AutoCAD 3D
Switching to 3D workbench,
3D Basics Interface, Viewports, Preset 3D Viewports,
Steering Wheel, orbit, Visualizing Your Model Visual Styles, Visual Styles Panel, View cube, Zoom, Orbit, Pan, Switching to Projection Mode, Preset Views, Creating solids, Polysolides, layers in 3d Workspace, scaling, manipulating

Module 4 :Certificate of Completion

A 60 minutes assessment test and review of the overall project work will be done by your Trainer. Based on the above, a Certificate will be awarded. This Certificate will be verifiable publicly by your prospective employers or clients to furnish the evidence of learning that you have gained through this Course

ABOUT THE TRAINER

Vinayaka K

Manager – Autodesk Design and Innovation Center Dayananda Sagar University.

Mr. Vinayaka K obtained his Bachelor degree in Automobile Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore.

He has three years of industrial experience in Special Purpose Machine Development and Product Design . He worked as SPM design engineer in Das CNC Products Pvt Ltd. He is Authorized Autodesk User and Authorized Autodesk Professional, active organizing corporate training program, he does support start ups in giving them solution in design and manufacturing.

His areas of interests include 3D Printing, Converting DICOM to 3D object for Dentistry & Reverse Engineering (3D Scanning).

How will the course be useful for me ?

This course is designed to take you through the basic to advanced in the most widely used Drafting application, AutoCAD. This course will Skill you up in AutoCAD and makes you industry ready. The course program is a good mix of theory & practicals making you confident on the software and on your skills. The AIC-DSU Lab at Dayanand Sagar University will also offer you access to their labs. The certificate jointly provided by Scout & AIC-DSU will be highlight in your resume.

When and how will the classes happen ?

The classes are held Online. The schedules will be published and informed to you by various mediums and through Scout Platform, on which the classes will be held.

What if I miss a class ?

Well, as these classes are held online there are very limited chance for classes can be missed. All classes held online are accessible on any device. This helps you to access class even when you are on the move. However if you miss any class, there will be class recording available on Scout.

Will I have hands on exercises to work upon ?

Yes, classes are good mix of Theory & Practice. Moreover, you are also eligible to access the AIC-DSU Labs.

Can I pause the course and resume later ?

Yes. You can resume your course within 6 months.

Can I get a refund of course fees if I opt out of the course ?

If you are joining and leaving the program within a week, then we will refund you the balance deducting the charges for the classes you undergo.
